  • Assen is known as “The Cathedral” of motorbike racing, a high speed flowing circuit that has been a fixture of the MotoGP calendar since 1949. A narrow, challenging track, adored by fans and riders, Assen’s rapid direction changes and numerous overtaking spots put the riders to the test. .Held on the last Saturday in June, the race enjoys an exceptional carnival atmosphere with over 100,000 fans, making this one of the season’s most evocative races and a global sporting event. Assen is an interesting circuit to watch because the track doesn’t need as much power as the other circuits. There are no problems with grip, but it is extremely bumpy and the riders need good balance and the rider needs to be comfortable with the bike. Due to the narrowness of the track, it is difficult to overtake.
  • The De Bult Grandstand overlooks the exit of Stekkenwal, and the blast up to De Bult, one of Assen’s most iconic sectors. You will have a great view as the riders weave through this flowing high speed part of the circuit, from Ruskenhoek, through the crucial right-hander at Stekkenwal, and up to De Bult. This is one of the best places in all of MotoGP to see the bravery and the skill of the riders, and the incredible performance levels of the bikes.Combine this with the fanatical carnival atmosphere of the Assen crowds, and you’ve got an excellent spot to take in a MotoGP.
