Lake Garda Marathon 2017

15th October 2017

Duration: 3 nights Distance: Marathon

The Lake Garda marathon has a stunning course in a truly unique setting with breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Around 2000 runners take part in the race, many taking time to visit the surrounding towns such as Verona, famous as the ‘home’ of Romeo and Juliet and Trento with its old centre and impressive Buonconsiglio Castle.

Lake Garda is a unique setting where the breathtaking view of the lake and mountains touches your soul. The strikingly beautiful route, almost entirely along the Lake Garda lakefront, gives athletes a chance to compete in a first class sports event and have a taste of top-quality hospitality.

The race starts in the beautiful village of Limone sur Garda on the west side of the lake and finishes on the other side at the village of Malcesine. Although the area is renowned for its mountains, the route is flat as it hugs the banks of the lake.

All countries of the lake, the historic cities of art such as Verona and the Arena, with Mart Rovereto, Trento with its old town and castle Buonconsiglio, and Brescia with its museums and its shows, await participants in the International Lake Garda Marathon to offer them not only a competition, but also a moment of truly dream holiday.
