Spielberg, Austria

The Austrian Grand Prix returned to Formula 1 calendar in 2014 and for the two following years the circuit showed the world that Austria is the place to be.

Austria was on the F1 calendar in the 1970s and 1980s at Osterreiching but the 1987’s race was the last race to be held due to lack of safety. In 1995-96 the circuit was refurbished and named A1-Ring and the raced continued until 2003. In 2003 the track hosted its last race due to financial difficulties.

The circuit has since been bought by Red Bull, it has been rebranded and refurbished and in 2014 the track impressed the racers and the viewers with it’s new design by Hermann Tilke.

Don’t miss this race and visit Austria with BAC Sport!
